The advantages of utilising full load road haulage to Europe

Get a quote
01.

Full load transport is economically efficient

You pay less for road haulage per pallet or per piece when utilising a full-trailer-load (FTL) to Europe, in comparison to part load pallet shipping or express van deliveries.

These savings extend to your other costs, like customs clearance, warehouse loading/unloading slots and administration, providing you with better margins per unit.

02.

You can load an FTL how you want

Pallet networks, part loads, express vans and container haulage have dimensions and other factors to consider, which makes out-of-gauge movements more difficult or costly.

Having a selection of equipment available, we can provide you with road haulage to Europe that fits your shipment’s needs.

03.

An FTL vehicle is dedicated to you

Have you ever discovered that a shipment will be delayed due to another party’s oversight, causing inconvenience, frustration or additional costs through no fault of your own?

You have total control with FTL European road haulage. Only you will be loading, unloading and customs clearing the shipment, giving you peace of mind that delays will be minimal.

    Road Transport Europe FAQs

Have questions about KDR European’s road transport service or European locations? We’re here to help.

Europe is connected by road, inland waterways, air freight and railway lines. Depending on the type of freight that you are moving and your timeframes, you may benefit from using one method of transport over another.

Road transport is best for goods that are larger, stackable or low value in comparison to the types of shipments that are sent via air freight. Road freight allows for bigger items to be handled at the origin and destination points only, as well as getting delivered directly between the two. This reduces the risk of damage, loss or delay during transit.

KDR European have been providing road movements across Europe for over 10 years. If you’d like a quote, get in touch.

According to statistics, air transport accounted for 21.1 % of Europe’s imports and 25.6 % of exports in 2021. Road transport accounted for 26.9 % of exports and 21.6 % of imports. Rail transport had only 2.1 % of imports and a minimal 1.8 % of Europe’s exports.

With road freight making up over a quarter of the EU’s exports and over 20% of their imports, having a strong network is key to being able to provide availability, affordability and reliability to road transport customers.

KDR European have worked with transport companies in Europe for over 10 years, with relationships withstanding the demands of the industry over time. If you could benefit from our connections, contact us for a quote today.

The main forms of freight in Europe are airfreight and road transport. Airfreight makes up 21.1% of imports and 25.6% of exports within Europe. Road freight makes up 21.6% of imports and 26.9% of exports.

The method of transport used depends on what your cargo is. If you are shipping a single pallet of high-value cargo, then you will likely use airfreight so that it can be delivered quickly and with minimal handling, compared to a pallet network.

However, road freight is more suitable when your goods are larger, less expensive, or being sold in bulk. This is because road freight is more cost effective per piece.

Road transport is the process of transporting goods by vehicle, whether this is a 44-tonne container truck, an express van or anything in between.

Moving goods by road requires loading of the cargo onto the vehicle at the originating premises, then securing the load and driving from A-B. If your goods are moving internationally, then this will also require a CMR document and a customs clearance.

KDR delivers goods across the UK and Europe. Contact us for a quote today.

The advantages of transporting goods by road are cost, reduced handling and better accountability for damage.

Road freight allows you to move large amounts of product in one go, reducing the price-per-pallet for shipping when compared to air freight.

Dedicated loads also go from the origin to the destination without being opened. Air freight requires handling in the airport and rail movements require the lifting of containers, which increases the risk of damage. In the event of damage, it is also hard to pinpoint the place where it may have occurred, which increases the need for accurate documentation throughout the transit chain.

KDR European have been managing road transport movements for over 10 years. If you would like a quote or impartial chat, please contact us today.
